When I was growing up, my mom would teach me how to make her mother's homemade ketchup and chili sauce. This recipe has been passed down in our family for five generations (5Gen) and not a summer has gone by that I haven't made a batch.

Originally, this recipe was made to be a conditment for cornbread, ham & beans, black eyed peas, porkchops, country ham and scrambled eggs however, it can be used to liven up any dish. When chips and salsa became a standard party snack I served it as such and what a hit!  Missouri Tiger tailgate parties were never better. I received so much encouragement to bottle it, that after a year of research and prayer the first jar made the shelf at C &S Grocery in Harrisburg, Missouri August 1, 2011.
